Our Senior Coaching Staff
Women’s Artistic (WAG)
Simon is a Level 3 NCCP certified Coach for both Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics. He loves physical fitness and is a Certified Personal Trainer. Born and raised in England playing elite level rugby, he is an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
Nicole is a Level 3 NCCP certified Coach for both Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics. SHe was a Provincial level gymnast as a child and has been coaching for 20 years. She loves physical fitness and is a Certified Personal Trainer.
Marija is a NCCP Level 3 certified coach for Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics. Her involvement with EGA has been significant, recently taking on the role of WAG Manager.
Priyanshi is a Level 2 certified coach. She is working with our young competitive group and doing the Optional Level girls floor routines. Her focus is on development of our ODP kids preparing them for entry into our competitive streams from an early age.
Sarah is our newest Level 2 certified coach and has worked her way up through the recreational coaching program and into the competitive coaching ranks. She is a successful Provincial athlete and she brings years of experience from her own competitions to the group. 2019 will be her first competitive season and we wish her all the best.
Men’s Artistic (MAG)
Sean is our MAG Head coach and is a Level 3 Certified coach with a long history of MAG success having coached alongside some of the legends of the sport.
Warren is an NCCP level 3 coach for both Men’s and Women’s Artistic gymnastics. With 20 years experience, Warren has coached across the country, ranging from National training facilities to teaching out of a schoolroom for the local YMCA. A trained Learning Facilitator for competitive gymnastics, Warren trains not only our in house staff with coach Marija, but also other competitive coaches from all over the province. A graduate from the University of New Brunswick in Anthropology, Warren is constantly experimenting with new drills and progressions, circuit setups and new coaching paradigms. At any time he is up for talking about the existential implications of any given cultural movement.
Carol is a L2 Certified MAG coach and has been learning the coaching ropes from Sean and Warren for several years.
Born and raised in Montreal Quebec, at the age of 18 she moved to Vancouver to be with her now husband of 31 years. They moved to Toronto when Carol was 20 and had two beautiful daughters and a precious granddaughter. They all currently live in Newmarket.
When she is not coaching, you can find her at Subway Sandwiches where she has been for the past 20 years and she still loves what she does!
She has been coaching for about 11 years and when Evolution first opened in 2010, she completed her Men’s competitive hours with Competitive coach, Sean Heaslip who took her under his wing and made her the coach she is today.
